Your Best
Just do your best. Give the gift of yourself, to the very best of your ability, to your children. It’s really that simple. Your best will look different than your neighbor’s best. Your best will change from day to day. And that’s okay. Sometimes, your best might be looked upon by critical eyes that say it is “too much”. But, don’t let those criticisms cause you to tone it down, so to speak, and hold back your efforts to go out there and kill this whole motherhood thing. Sometimes, your best might be looked upon by critical eyes that say it is “not enough”. But, don’t let those criticisms cause you to feel like you aren’t measuring up, simply because your best happens to look differently theirs. Just do your best. Just love your children in the best way you know how…regardless of whether others think you are doing “too much” or “not enough”. Your children just need your best. YOUR best. Because you know them best. And you know how to love them best. Keep your eyes focused on raising your children in the best way you know how, and encourage the moms around you to do the same, even when their best looks different than yours…
