Fully Rewarded

August 4, 2014

At that end of our church service a few weeks ago, it was announced that there is going to be a celebratory concert held on August 30th in Haven’s honor.  Bryan and I were both humbled and surprised to hear this news.

Two of Bryan’s friends (who also happen to be in a band with him) decided that they wanted to hold a concert in the open parking lot area beside the Plainfield Chick-fil-A.  Apparently, our friends at the Plainfield Chick-fil-A will be donating a portion of their food sales from that evening for us to put toward Haven’s ongoing medical expenses.  (These are the same people who gave us 50% off our food trays for Haven’s welcome home bash.)

We’re not sure what to say or do in response to such kindness and generosity.  At this point, all we can do is express our heartfelt thanks.  And we can pray that God, under whose wings we can all take refuge, will reward everyone fully for what they have done/are doing for Haven.

As I have said before, someday Haven will hear many, many stories about how his friends and family came together not only to help bring him home (through prayers, emotional support, and financial help), but also to help him get the medical care that he needs.  I can only imagine how that will make him feel.

We continue to be blown away by the love and kindness that has been shown to us and to Haven.  And we know that many of you reading this right now are among those who have showered us with that love and kindness.

We feel very undeserving.

And we will continue to pray that you all will be fully rewarded for what you have done/are doing for Haven ♥

“May the Lord, under whose wings you have come to take refuge, reward you fully for what you have done!”  (Ruth 2:12)
