Show Hope’s 10th Anniversary Celebration

June 2, 2013

Attending Show Hope’s 10th Anniversary celebration last weekend brought many blessings our way.  I’m so grateful for the experiences we had and the memories we made as we celebrated 10 years of orphan care with such an amazing, benevolent organization.

Warm Nashville weather.  Swimming.  Sleeping in.  Quality time with Bryan and the kids.  Ice cream.  A comfortable hotel stay (complete with a ginkgo tree right outside of our hotel room!!!).  An opportunity to thank and hug Steven Curtis Chapman.  Shaved ice.  Good meals.  An sweet encounter between Shaohannah Hope Chapman and Gracie.  A tour of the Show Hope offices.  Meeting up with our good friend, Katie.  Quality time with my parents and Bryan’s parents.  A picnic.  Brushing shoulders with Mary Beth Chapman.  An inspiring concert.  Great music from Casting Crowns, Laura Story, Audio Adrenaline, Andrew Peterson, and Steven Curtis Chapman.  Shopping.  Face-painting.  Bounce houses.  Games.  The Rainforest Cafe.  Fun souvenirs.  New Show Hope t-shirts.  A 4-mile nighttime jog with my dad.  Balloon animals.  Dancing with princesses.  Touching videos.  Powerful testimonies.  A surprise appearance and unforgettable message by Jim Caviezel.  And so much more.

I returned home from our trip last Monday with my heart full, and my determination stronger.

The adoption process can be daunting, stressful, and overwhelming.  But, after the inspiring weekend we had, I am feeling determined, re-fueled and ready to work toward our goal of one less orphan.

One less orphan.  One more child for our family.

One less.  One more.

A win-win.

Congratulations, Show Hope, on 10 incredible years of orphan care!!!  May you continue to offer hope for many, many years to come.
